This notice has been prepared pursuant to Article 10 of Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (the Law) and the Communique on the Procedures and Principles to Be Followed in Fulfilment of the Obligation to Inform, by GENAY in its capacity as data controller.

The purpose of this Cookie Notice is to inform you about the processing of personal data obtained automatically through cookies placed on your device when you use our website, including the types of cookies we use, the purposes for which they are used, the legal basis for processing and your rights under the Law.

Our website uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service. Personal data processing carried out through these cookies is based on the legal ground set out in Article 5(2)(f) of the Law: processing must be necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not prejudice the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

Types of Cookies

Session cookies are used to maintain the continuity of a session and are deleted when the user closes the browser. Persistent cookies remain on the device after the browser is closed and are deleted automatically on a specified date or after a defined period. First-party and third-party cookies:

First-party cookies are placed directly by the website being visited. Third-party cookies are placed by a domain other than the one being visited. Our website uses first-party cookies only.

Cookies by purpose:

Depending on their purpose, cookies may be strictly necessary, functional or advertising/marketing cookies. Our website uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the information society services you have expressly requested.

Within the conditions stipulated in Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, the personal data concerned may be disclosed, where requested, to law-enforcement agencies or judicial authorities for the resolution of legal disputes or compliance with applicable legislation, and to technical service providers to the extent required for the conduct of our activities and the relevant processing purpose.

As a data subject, you have the following rights under Article 11 of the Law:

  • to learn whether your personal data is being processed;
  • to request information if your personal data has been processed;
  • to learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose;
  • to know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom your personal data has been transferred;
  • to request correction where your personal data has been processed incompletely or inaccurately;
  • to request the erasure or destruction of your personal data where the reasons requiring its processing no longer exist, even if it has been processed in accordance with the Law and other applicable legislation, and to request notification of such action to third parties to whom the data has been transferred;
  • to object to a result arising against you through the analysis of processed data exclusively by automated systems;
  • to claim compensation for damage arising from the unlawful processing of your personal data.
